On October 16 2023, the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the JICA delegation headed by Mr. Tsukahara Masanori, Senior Advisor of the Headquarters of the Japanese Agency.
The meeting was devoted to discussion of the organization of a series of trainings to be held in Japan in December 2023.
The main purpose of the trainings is to get acquainted with the advanced experience of Japan in the field of civil law for its further use in the preparation of a new version of the draft Civil Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the training it is planned to study the issues of:
– increasing the effectiveness of civil legal protection of private property;
– modernization of organizational-legal forms of legal entities;
– legal regulation of participation of public legal entities in civil relations;
– improvement of some institutes of the law of obligations;
– legal regulation of the use of digital technologies in civil law.
Having discussed the organisational issues, the parties noted that fruitful cooperation in this area will contribute to the improvement of the civil legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
