Ergashev Vosidjon Yokubovich

Deputy Director

He was born in 1978 in the Samarkand region. In 1999, he graduated from Samarkand State University with a degree in law. He holds a PhD in Law and is a professor. He began his career at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Academy of Sciences, after which he worked fruitfully for many years at Tashkent State Law University in the roles of lecturer, senior lecturer, head of department, head of the postgraduate programme and vice-chancellor.

His academic interests span the fields of civil law, private international law, business law and constitutional law. He is the author of around 100 academic articles on topical issues in these fields, as well as some 10 monographs, textbooks and study guides.

With extensive managerial experience in higher education and the civil service, V.E. Ergashev has held the posts of Director of the Tashkent Law College and Head of the Customs Institute of the State Customs Committee.

He holds the special title of Counsellor of Justice, 2nd Class. In 2022, he was awarded the ‘Sodiq Khizmatlari Uchun’ medal for his many years of effective service. Since 20 January 2023, he has been serving as Deputy Director of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Doctor of Sciences in Law, Professor

Author of more than 150 scientific publications, including monographs, textbooks and manuals on criminal law, information security, countering cybercrime, criminology, prevention and prevention of crimes and offenses on the Internet.

A. Rasulev defended his Ph.D. thesis in 2006, and his doctoral dissertation on crimes in the field of information technology and security in 2018.

The results of his dissertations are reflected in the Criminal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Informatization”, “On Electronic Commerce”, “On the Protection of Children from Information Harmful to Their Health”, introduced into the law enforcement practice of law enforcement agencies.
