On May 16 this year the Institute hosted a meeting with a delegation of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) headed by Professor of Nagoya University of Economics Mr. Katsuya Ichihashi.
During the meeting the prospects of interaction between JICA and ILLP within the framework of the implementation of the technical cooperation project ‘Support for anti-corruption measures to improve investment climate’ between JICA and the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan were discussed.
In particular, they considered the possibility of participation of ILLP representatives in the preparation of a special manual for representatives of state bodies of the country on the organisation of open and transparent public procurement procedures by conducting, together with Japanese experts, scientific and practical research in the field of public procurement and studying the practice of application of Uzbek laws in this area.
