On 13 September 2023, the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy hosted a meeting with Ms. Marie Ann Birken, Legal Consultant of the Office of the Presidential Advisor S. Chakrabarti.
At this meeting they discussed issues related to the formation of legal foundations for the establishment of the Tashkent International Commercial Court and further development of partnership in mutually agreed directions.
During the meeting, the expert informed in detail about the essence and significance of the draft law “On the Tashkent International Commercial Court”.
The leadership of the Institute, represented by Deputy Director V. Ergashev, expressed gratitude to Mrs M. Birken for comments on the draft law, noting the need for its further elaboration with the participation of leading legal scholars.
As a result of the discussion, the parties agreed on further cooperation in a number of areas.
