On 18 July, a delegation of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan met in London with Sindharth Saxenna, Head of the Central Asia Forum of the University of Cambridge.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the political-legal and democratic transformations taking place in Uzbekistan and highly appreciated the results of the constitutional reform taking place in the country.
The sides stressed the importance of cooperation between the expert and analytical communities of Uzbekistan and the UK in addressing the challenges facing Uzbekistan in the areas of water management, energy, demography and climate.
As a result of the meeting, the sides agreed to establish further cooperation between ILLP and CAF in organising relevant research and training programmes in areas of mutual interest.
