On 18 July in London a delegation of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Lord John Waverley, a member of the House of Lords of the Parliament of Great Britain, and Mark Hammerson, a partner of the London office of the international law firm ‘Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP’.

During the discussion the foreign partners highly appreciated the measures taken in Uzbekistan to ensure a favourable investment and business climate in the country.

In particular, high economic growth indicators and systemic reforms to ensure the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary were noted.

At the end of the event, the sides agreed to organise joint scientific, practical and educational events in areas of mutual interest.
