On 5 July this year, the Director of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan M. Rakhmankulov held a meeting in Strasbourg with the Consultant of the European Commission for Democracy through Law of the Council of Europe (the Venice Commission) Mamuka Longurashvili.
During the meeting, the representatives of the Venice Commission highly appreciated the results of the constitutional reforms carried out in Uzbekistan. The important role of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy in this matter was noted.
As a result of the meeting it was agreed to further develop cooperation between the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy and the Venice Commission.
