As part of the efforts to improve the knowledge and skills of scientific staff, on February 3 the Institute organised another theoretical seminar on the topic of “Attracting foreign investment in New Uzbekistan: achievements and challenges” with the participation of professor Bakhtiyor Islamov from the Tashkent branch of Russian University of Economics named after G.Plekhanov.
During the event, professor B.Islamov spoke about the current state and future prospects for attracting foreign investment into the economy of Uzbekistan. In particular, the professor raised such issues as the advantages of attracting foreign investment, mechanisms for creating favorable conditions for attracting investment, state regulation of investment activities and possible risks of attracting foreign investment for the national economy.
The reforms implemented by the state to improve the investment climate and investment attractiveness of the country were analysed. Promising directions of attracting foreign investments were considered.
At the end of the seminar, the participants came to a consensus on the importance of continuous improvement of legislation for the development of investment activity in the country.
In general, this event allowed the scientific staff of the Institute to obtain new knowledge in the field of investment activity and find answers to questions of interest.
