On February 25, in Tokyo, as part of a training seminar on improving civil legislation organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the Uzbek delegation held a brief meeting with the Japanese Minister of Justice, Mr. Keisuke Suzuki.
The Minister of Justice spoke positively about the large-scale and progressive legal reforms being implemented under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which lay the foundation for the sustainable development of the country, including on the international stage. He also expressed support for the development of cooperation in the field of law between the Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy of Uzbekistan, noting the importance of joint work in the field of improving civil legislation.
During a brief conversation, representatives of the Uzbek delegation expressed their gratitude to the Japanese side for its support of legal reforms, in particular for its assistance in studying aspects of the modernization of Japanese civil legislation. In addition, the Uzbek side emphasized its interest in further strengthening scientific cooperation between relevant institutions of both countries in this area.
