On May 29, this year, an online meeting with Andy Haldane, a British expert in economic research on monetary policy and financial stability, was held at ILLP.
During the meeting the prospects for mutual cooperation in mutually agreed areas were discussed, in particular, on such issues as regional economic risks, factors affecting the investment climate in Central Asia, labour market and labour migration in the region.
Following the meeting, professor Haldane expressed his willingness to partner with the ILLP, and the parties agreed to develop mutual cooperation in the field of joint research and events.
The agreements reached will serve as a basis for strengthening academic co-operation between the parties, facilitating the exchange of experience and the development of recommendations for sustainable economic development in Uzbekistan.
