On 25 February this year in Tokyo within the framework of the seminar-training on improvement of civil legislation held by the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the Uzbek delegation had a short conversation with the Minister of Justice of Japan Mr. Suzuki Keisuke.

The Minister of Justice praised the large-scale and progressive legal reforms being implemented under the leadership of President Sh. Mirziyoyev, which are laying the foundation for the country’s sustainable development, including in the international arena. He also expressed support for the development of co-operation in the field of law between the Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy of Uzbekistan, noting the importance of joint work in improving civil legislation.

During a brief conversation, representatives of the Uzbek delegation expressed gratitude to the Japanese side for supporting legal reforms, in particular, for assistance in studying aspects of modernisation of civil legislation in Japan. In addition, the Uzbek side emphasised the interest in further strengthening scientific cooperation between the relevant institutions of both countries in this area.
