On 5 July this year, a delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Director of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy M. Rakhmankulov met in Strasbourg with the Judge of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) Armen Arutyunyan and the Secretary of the Section of the Secretariat of the ECHR Viktor Soloveychik.
During the meeting, the representatives of the ECHR appreciated the democratic reforms underway in Uzbekistan and exchanged views on constitutional innovations, taking into account the practice of the ECHR and European states.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
