On June 22 of this year, in Tashkent, heads of departments of ILLP K.Aripov, K.Rashidov, B.Ismailov and leading researcher Y.Kvitkov participated in a round table discussion on the topic “Administrative law reform: a lifelong journey.”
The event was organized by the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and was dedicated to the scientific legacy of the distinguished scholar in the field of public law, professor Isa Akhlimanovich Khamedov.
During the round table, participants discussed current issues related to the further reform of administrative law, improvement of administrative procedures and administrative judicial proceedings, as well as the development of comparative studies in the field of public administration.
Special attention was given to the role of the academic community in preparing proposals aimed at improving the quality of legal regulation and enhancing the efficiency of state institutions.
K.Aripov delivered a presentation on opportunities for cooperation in developing comparative studies in the field of public administration reform. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of comparative legal research into advanced international practices for improving public administration and administrative legal regulation. He also presented the current state and future prospects of interagency and international cooperation within the activities of the Center for Political and Legal Studies established at ILLP.
During the discussion, K.Rashidov spoke about professor I.Khamedov’s scientific achievements, his contribution to the development of national administrative and public law scholarship, as well as his role in shaping modern approaches to administrative justice and administrative procedures.
At the conclusion of the event, participants reached a common understanding that further reform of administrative law should be aligned with the country’s priority development goals and should rely on sustainable cooperation among the academic community, government institutions, international organizations, and legal education.
In this regard, the initiative to hold the annual scientific conference “Khamedov Readings – 2027”, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of professor I.Khamedov’s birth, was supported. Participants also discussed the key approaches to its concept and organizational preparation.
The event concluded with the ceremonial opening of a lecture hall named after I.A.Khamedov at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, symbolizing recognition of his contribution to the development of legal science and the continuity of his scholarly ideas in educating future lawyers and researchers.
