On August 28, 2026, the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy hosted a ceremony marking the 35th anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s independence under the motto ‘With a united Motherland and a united people, we will build a new life and a new future!’. The event was attended by the Institute’s management and staff.
It was noted at the event that the 35th anniversary of state independence marks an important historical milestone, reflecting the country’s steady development and the strengthening of statehood; the achievement of such significant milestones is inextricably linked to the rational policies being pursued. Particular mention was made of the immense and wide-ranging work carried out by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sh. Mirziyoyev, to further strengthen the foundations of independence, lead the country into a new stage of development through large-scale reforms, and improve the well-being of the people.
At the same time, the speakers noted that, over the years of independence, large-scale reforms have been carried out in the fields of state-building, legislation and legal policy, with the strengthening of guarantees for human rights and freedoms remaining a key priority.
As part of the event, a group of Institute staff were ceremonially presented with commemorative medals marking the ‘35th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan’ in recognition of their many years of fruitful work and contribution to the development of the sector.
At the conclusion of the event, it was noted that the team’s effective work, professionalism and the responsible attitude of each staff member play an important role in the further development of the Institute’s contribution to the implementation of the priority areas of state legal policy, the strengthening of the country’s independence and the promotion of the people’s well-being.
