On July 3, the ILLP hosted a seminar on the future of political science in Uzbekistan.

Experts from the Higher School of Strategic Analysis and Forecasting, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, the Development Strategy Center and the International Academy of Islamic Studies of Uzbekistan attended the event.

During the seminar, the experts discussed the current state of political science in Uzbekistan and its role in shaping effective public policy.

Particular attention was paid to the need to update the study and teaching of political science to correspond with modern global and regional challenges.

Experts emphasized the importance of strengthening the link between academic research and the practical needs of the state, as well as training highly qualified specialists capable of contributing to the construction of a new Uzbekistan.

The seminar also addressed the role of political science in providing scientific support for legislative activities and developing sound political and legal decisions.

During the open discussion, participants considered the prospects for creating conditions that would allow for a more systematic development of political science, including strengthening its institutional base and expanding international cooperation.

Participants noted that modernizing educational programs and strengthening cooperation between universities, government agencies, and public organizations would improve the quality of training for political scientists and increase their employability in the labor market.
