On March 4, ILLP held a scientific and theoretical seminar with the participation of Juan Carlos Boue, a leading expert in the oil and gas industry, partner at the international law firm Curtis, and researcher at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies.
The event was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, analytical structures, and state-owned companies in the fuel and energy sector (Ministry of Energy, Uzbekneftegaz, Uztransgaz, Uzgaztrade, ISRS, IICA, CERR).
The seminar focused on topical issues of ensuring the country’s energy security and practical aspects of contractual regulation in the gas sector.
During the event, key factors for ensuring energy supply stability, approaches to diversifying supplies and reducing dependency risks, and general principles for developing transparent and flexible contractual solutions taking into account market conditions and infrastructure capabilities were discussed.
Particular attention was paid to issues of further improving the regulatory and contractual framework in order to increase the sustainability of the country’s energy system.
