The staff of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is deeply saddened to announce the passing of the Director of the Institute, Senator of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Judicial and Legal Issues and Anti-Corruption, Doctor of Law, Professor Mir-Akbar Rakhmankulov.
Mir-Akbar Rakhmankulov devoted his life to serving the state and developing domestic legal science. Over the years, he has held the positions of Secretary of the National Security Council and State Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Professor Mir-Akbar Rakhmonkulov is the author of hundreds of scientific works in the field of civil law, international law, constitutional law and national security. The results of his political and legal research aimed at improving parliamentarism, the system of state power and administration have acquired important theoretical and practical significance in improving the national legal system during the years of Uzbekistan’s independence.
The staff of the Institute express their deepest condolences to the family, friends, students and colleagues of the deceased. The bright memory of this outstanding statesman and scholar will forever remain in the hearts of his colleagues and students.
