From 17 to 26 February this year, a delegation from Uzbekistan consisting of representatives of the ILLP, the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Justice, the Notary Chamber, the Academy of Justice and the TSUL, took part in a training seminar on improving civil legislation, organized by JICA with technical assistance from the Japanese government.

The purpose of the event was to familiarize participants with Japan’s advanced experience in improving legislation and law enforcement practices in the field of civil law.

During the seminar, participants attended lectures by Japanese experts in the field of civil law and studied issues such as the protection of personal non-property rights, the transformation of copyright in the context of the development of artificial intelligence, the legal regulation of online platforms, and the legal forms of state participation in civil relations.

In order to inform the Japanese side about the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in the field of modernizing national civil legislation, representatives of the Uzbek delegation made relevant presentations on various aspects of this process.

As part of the event, a visit was organized to the Litigation Bureau and the Research and Training Institute of the Ministry of Justice of Japan, where participants familiarized themselves with the current activities and research being conducted by these structures.

At the end of the training seminar, participants were presented with certificates.
