In recent years, the Republic of Uzbekistan has been consistently implementing reforms aimed at improving the investment climate, ensuring reliable protection of the rights of business entities, and developing alternative mechanisms for resolving economic disputes.
In this context, arbitration has taken on particular significance as an effective mechanism for the out-of-court resolution of disputes arising between parties to economic relations, in line with modern international standards.
To improve national legislation in the field of arbitration, a meeting was held on July 9, 2026, between representatives of the ILLP and the Tashkent International Arbitration Center (TIAC).
During the meeting, participants held comprehensive discussions on the current state of legal regulation of arbitration in the Republic of Uzbekistan, priority areas for the further development of arbitration, and ways to improve national legislation, taking into account international experience and best practices.
The parties exchanged views on the development of the institution of arbitration, scholarly and legal support for ongoing reforms, and the preparation of joint analytical studies and expert recommendations aimed at improving legislation in this area.
Following the meeting, confidence was expressed that the establishment of cooperation between the ILLP and the TIAC would serve as an important foundation for carrying out joint research and analytical projects, the preparation of proposals for improving legislation, and the further development of the institution of arbitration in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
