On 20 August, a delegation from Uzbekistan, led by K. Aripov, Head of the Institute’s Sector, met in Warsaw with Professor Jerzy Stepeny, Director of the Institute of Civic Space and Social Policy of Lazar University, a recognised expert in the field of decentralisation of the state administration system.
During the meeting, the professor acquainted the delegation with the stages of the administrative reform carried out in Poland, the specifics of local self-government of territorial-administrative units and the peculiarities of introducing foreign experience into their activities in this direction.
At the end of the meeting, the professor expressed his willingness to assist in the assessment of the normative and methodological base of Uzbekistan in the above-mentioned field, as well as to establish cooperation between the ILLP and Lazar University in the field of research and education.
