On May 19 of this year in Tashkent, professor G.Malikova, senior research fellow at the ILLP, took part in a national academic and practical conference on the theme: ‘Contemporary challenges in the development of legal education and scholarship’, organised by Sarbon University in Tashkent.
At the conference, professor G.Malikova delivered a presentation on the topic “Integration of education, science and practice: problems and solutions”, dedicated to current issues in the development of the education and science system in Uzbekistan.
During her presentation, she examined key issues regarding the interaction between the academic community, scientific research and practical activities, and analysed existing mechanisms for state support of science and innovation.
Particular attention was paid to the need to strengthen the links between education, scientific research and practice, as well as to issues concerning the funding of science and the effectiveness of government programmes.
A separate section was devoted to analysing the mechanisms underlying the functioning of science and education platforms. It was noted that, in order to achieve sustainable results, it is necessary to improve the system for evaluating scientific activity, strengthen the link between science and the real needs of the economy and society, and develop the human resources capacity of the research community.
Overall, the event served as a platform for a professional exchange of views between representatives of the scientific community, educational institutions and expert circles.
